Kate was inspired to join Guruba’s Hands Charities when she heard about fellow educator Frank’s personal support of girls’ education in Ghana and his desire to create a charitable organization to further this mission. She has a passion for teaching and making cross-cultural connections, having taught Chinese language in American schools for six years and worked as a volunteer ESOL tutor with Chinese immigrants in the US.
